AZLera’s name is derived from the Spanish word “acelerar”, to accelerate. The purpose of AZLera is to foster and accelerate, via novel and innovative projects, the development of local leadership that will, in time, provide original solutions to its communities’ problems. Our activities include:
+ Innovating. Searching for and formulating
new projects, mainly in education, that + Implementing. Executing projects, on the ground, in the target communities that we choose to work in + Leading social change. Through our activities, we encourage discussion; raise awareness; and act as a vehicle for action on issues many ignore or that have not been adequately addressed Our projects AZLera principal focus is on educational projects for children and young adults, which we believe provide the best platform for leadership development. AZLera does not provide aid nor allocate resources based solely on need. Instead, AZLera seeks to maximimize its return on invested intellectual capital by allocating resources on the basis of merit, most often proven competitively. Our projects meet two important criteria: + Share the wealth. Any project must share the intellectual or financial wealth created with the community + Encourage creativity. AZLera seeks to attract and develop social entrepreneurs who tackle issues with an innovative approach |
